Servers & Data Center Solutions in Oman
Outgrown your server closet, or building a data hall that needs to stay up through a Muscat summer? Lyqa Tech Ventures designs, supplies, installs and maintains server infrastructure and data center environments for businesses across Oman – from a single rack in a back office to a networked, multi-rack facility with redundant power and cooling.
We are an Omani-owned technology company registered as an SME, working across Muscat, Sohar, Salalah and Duqm. You get one engineering team accountable for the design, the supply, the installation, the commissioning and the AMC that keeps it running.
Where personal data protection law affects your infrastructure decisions
PDPL is now fully enforceable, not a future concern
Oman's Personal Data Protection Law was issued under Royal Decree 6/2022, with Executive Regulations issued under Ministerial Decision 34/2024. Following an extension under Ministerial Decision 6/2025, the transition period ended on 5 February 2026 - the PDPL is now fully enforceable, with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) actively supervising compliance.
This matters for infrastructure decisions, not just policy documents. The PDPL sets controls on transferring personal data outside Oman: consent from the data subject, an assessment that the transfer doesn't affect national security, and confirmation that the receiving party offers protection at least equivalent to Oman's standard. Where you host servers and how you architect storage and backup are part of that answer, not separate from it.
What this means in practice
For most businesses this doesn't mean everything must sit on Omani soil. It means the decision - on-premises, in-country hosting, or offshore cloud with defined transfer controls - should be made deliberately, with the data flows mapped, rather than inherited from whatever the last IT vendor happened to install. We design infrastructure with this in view: where data lives, how it's backed up, and what happens to it if a server or a site fails.
Where server and data center projects usually go wrong
In our experience the failure point is rarely the hardware itself. It's planning gaps that only surface under load or during an outage: storage sized for today's data with no headroom for growth, no documented backup and disaster recovery process, cooling and power sized for the room rather than for the heat the racks actually generate, virtualization licensing that doesn't match how the business actually uses the environment, or a server room with no monitoring so a failing UPS or an overheating rack goes unnoticed until something stops working.
Server and data center services we deliver
Server Supply & Installation
Rack, tower and blade servers specified against your actual workload - CPU, memory, storage and networking sized for what the applications need, not oversold or undersized to hit a budget number. Installation includes racking, cabling, power and network configuration, and burn-in testing before handover.
Data Center Design & Build
Full data center or server room design: layout, containment, cooling strategy, power distribution and redundancy, structured cabling and access control - planned around your building's constraints and your growth plan, not a generic template.
Virtualization Services
VMware, Hyper-V and Proxmox deployments that consolidate physical servers, cut hardware and power costs, and make backup, replication and disaster recovery practical to actually run. We help you choose the platform based on licensing cost, feature needs and what your in-house team can realistically support.
Storage Solutions
SAN and NAS systems are sized for your data growth, with the redundancy (RAID, replication, snapshots) that determines how much data - and how much downtime - you can actually afford to lose.
Server Room Infrastructure
Cooling, UPS and power management sized to the heat load your equipment actually generates, not just the room's floor area - critical in a climate where ambient temperatures push HVAC and battery systems harder than in most other markets.
Server AMC & Support Contracts
Scheduled maintenance, monitoring and proactive alerts so failing components - a fan, a drive, a UPS battery nearing end of life - get replaced before they cause an outage, not after.
Server Rental
Short-term server capacity for projects, events, testing environments or bridging a gap while permanent infrastructure is procured and delivered.
Specialized infrastructure needs
Not every environment fits a standard server room build:
Disaster recovery and backup sites, so a single-site failure - power, fire, flood - doesn't mean total data loss.
High-density rack deployments for compute-heavy workloads, where standard cooling and power distribution aren't enough.
Colocation and hybrid setups, where some infrastructure stays on-premises and some moves to a hosted or cloud environment, connected securely.
Edge deployments for retail chains or remote sites that need local processing with centralized management.

A straight comparison to help you choose the right platform for your environment.

Who we work with across Oman
How a Lyqa Tech server or data center project runs
Assessment
we review your current infrastructure, workload, growth plans and any existing pain points on-site.
Design
a server or data center layout matched to your space, budget, redundancy needs and data protection obligations.
Supply & installation
hardware sourced, configured and installed with minimal disruption to live operations.
Testing & commissioning
systems load-tested and validated before go-live, with documentation and configuration records provided.
Handover & training
as-built documentation and a walkthrough for your team.
Maintenance
a scheduled AMC that keeps hardware, backups and monitoring current.
Request a server infrastructure assessment
Tell us your current setup, approximate user count and growth plans, and we will tell you what your environment actually needs before we quote anything.
What drives the cost of a server or data center project in Oman
We do not publish fixed prices, because a real number depends on your environment. These are the variables that actually move it:
Number of users, devices and applications the infrastructure needs to support.
Server specification and storage capacity - and how much headroom is built in for growth.
Virtualization platform and licensing model.
Cooling, power backup and physical room requirements.
Level of redundancy and disaster recovery built into the design.
Cabling and containment, and whether this is new-build or retrofit into an occupied space.
Ongoing maintenance and support tier.
Designing for Omani conditions
Muscat, Sohar and coastal humidity
Salalah and the khareef season
Sohar, Duqm and industrial duty
Heat load and power stability
Why Choose Lyqa Tech Ventures for Servers & Data Center Solutions Oman
Omani-owned, Muscat-based, SME-registered - with the standing that carries in government tenders and national initiatives.
Systems integrator, not a box supplier - server and data center infrastructure engineered alongside our IT Solutions and Services, Cybersecurity and ELV Services, so networking, security and infrastructure work together from day one.
Vendor-agnostic - we specify what your workload and budget actually require, not what we hold in stock.
One accountable team from assessment to AMC, so nobody is between you and a working system.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you supply and install servers, or only design data centers?
Both. We handle end-to-end projects – supply, installation and data center design and build – as well as standalone server installation or AMC support for existing infrastructure.
What virtualization platforms do you support?
We work with VMware, Hyper-V and Proxmox, and help you choose based on your budget, licensing preferences and your in-house team’s familiarity with the platform.
Do you offer server maintenance contracts?
Yes – server AMC and support contracts are available, covering scheduled maintenance and monitoring to reduce unplanned downtime.
Can I rent servers for a short-term project?
Yes, server rental is available for temporary capacity needs such as events, testing environments or short-term projects.
Does Oman's data protection law affect where I can host my servers?
It affects how you move personal data across borders, not necessarily where every server must physically sit. The PDPL requires consent and an adequate level of protection when personal data is transferred outside Oman. We can help you map your data flows and design infrastructure that fits your compliance position.
Do you serve businesses outside Muscat?
Yes, we support businesses in Sohar, Salalah and Duqm in addition to Muscat.
